BlueGen is a French non-profit organization created in 2016 in order to establish the first international trans-sectoral platform for blue business, employment and education.
Despite its enormous potential to our global economy, the concept of blue economy remains vague and unknown to key stakeholders such as investors, bankers, consumers, politicians, media, and, most importantly, the future generations which will inevitably have to take the lead in the years to come.
In light of this reality, BlueGen has four main objectives:
Raise awareness about the diversity of blue careers, education programmes, as well as the benefits of the blue economy
Showcase the blue industry’s most innovative products and services
Support ‘blue’ university networks and multidisciplinary centers of excellence
Strengthen employability by ensuring that education programmes correspond with industry needs.
BlueGen will be the entity organizing the BlueGen events (see below) and the BioMarine Business Convention
Once a year, BlueGen in collaboration with the BioMarine© Business Convention will organize MyBlueCity©, an immersive platform which will be composed of:
This is a smaller version of MyBlueCity with only two or three districts and without the BioMarine Business Convention. Multiple showrooms will occur every year in different European cities. A demo can run throughout the year and finish with the MyBlueCity event of that year.
Within a preexistent event and sponsored by one company or a public partner, a one hour live streamed workshop is designed to gather key stakeholders around a pre-determined topic in order to identify industry challenges and potential avenues of cooperation.
